His travels to numerous countries brought about the priceless first-hand experience of working with ingredients and recipes from around the world. Chef Shahzad, armed with the knowledge of countless international cuisines, then brought his passion back to the US; to his restaurant, Caravan Kebab, in particular. Each item on his menu is meticulously crafted with its origin in mind. Whether it’s soup from Eastern Europe or a traditional curry from India, each menu option expresses authenticity in a way that only first-hand international culinary experience can offer.
Glancing over the menu, there are immediately numerous countries represented. One of the most popular appetizers, Baba Ghanouj, is prepared using smoked eggplant and sesame tahini. In traditional fashion, it is served alongside homemade pita bread; a true Lebanese delicacy.
